Steel framed Verandas are made using steel box section for the framework, and solid steel railing panels to the sides. We make the railing panels using 30 x 10mm solid bar horizontally, and 12mm solid square bar for the vertical rails, spaced 100mm apart. Our standard railing height is 900mm, but can be made to any height required.
We can include ornamental ironwork features in to the railings if required. With many features to choose from, you can add just a little ornamental detail, or you may wish to combine features to create a unique, or more elaborate design to compliment your holiday home.
All Verandas are made with 2, 3 or 4 steps, according to base depth. Handrails are fitted to each side of the steps, and an entrance gate to the top with a 16mm slide bolt designed for use with a padlock. 35mm tanalised timber decking is fitted to the base and steps, providing robust and hard-wearing flooring.
Verandas can be made to any size in length and width, (minimum 6 x 4ft) and can include wider patio areas if required. We custom make every Veranda to suit all site variations, including steep gradients. Access ramps can also be incorporated as an alternative, or in addition to steps.
All steel framework, railing panels and components are hot dip galvanized, which is carried out in accordance with BS EN ISO 1461, providing the best long term corrosion protection for steel products. Galvanized steel can remain corrosion and rust free for decades without any further maintenance.
Professional powder coated colour finish is available to further enhance and protect your steelwork, and is recommended. Available in most colours and a choice of matt or gloss, powder coating is more durable and hard wearing than painted finishes, requiring little or no maintenance for many years.
Any necessary ground works are completed before fitting to provide a solid base for your Veranda. All frame legs are adjustable, and fitted with base plates to ensure even weight distribution.
Our steel framed Verandas are fully relocatable to other sites of suitable size and position.
